Most patients experience minimal discomfort during Sculptra® injections. A topical anesthetic is applied prior to treatment to reduce potential pain and it’s also mixed in the Sculptra® to provide comfort during the treatment. Patients usually describe the sensation as a mild pinch or pressure.

Sculptra® is a minimally invasive treatment with mild downtime. You can resume your regular activities 24hrs after the procedure. It is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, and prolonged sun exposure for a few days following the treatment to ensure optimal results.

Sculptra® results are long-lasting. Initial results can be seen within 3 months, with continued improvements as collagen production increases over 6 months. The effects of Sculptra® can last up to 2 years, but this varies based on individual factors such as metabolism, skin type and the natural cycle of aging.

Sculptra® is considered safe and well-tolerated. Common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection sites. Avoid Blood Thinners: Avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDs, and other blood-thinning medications for a week before your treatment. If you’re taking any of these medications for a medical diagnosis, consult your practitioner prior to stopping.
No Alcohol: Avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours before the procedure.

Massage: Gently massage the treated areas for five minutes, five times a day, for the first five days after treatment. This is known as the 5, 5, 5 rule.
